Qatar’s Foreign Minister Arriving Today In Pakistan

Qatar’s Foreign Minister Arriving Today In Pakistan: Foreign Minister of Qatar Mohammad bin Abdulrahman al-Thani is scheduled to arrive on a one-day visit to Pakistan today (Friday).

Qatari FM will meet his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Prime Minister Imran Khan during his visit to Islamabad, sources informed. Moreover, the Pakistani and Qatari counterparts will hold talks in the foreign office, sources added.

Meanwhile, PM Imran is expected to embark on a second visit to Saudi Arabia on October 23. He will tour the Kingdom for a day prior to his visit to China next month. PM Imran will hold talks on economic cooperation with Saudi officials during his visit.

The Qatari foreign minister will hold discussions with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi at the Foreign Office during his one-day visit. As per reports, Qatar’s FM Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan during his visit.

A day before the Qatari foreign minister’s visit to Pakistan, the federal cabinet decided on Thursday to renegotiate an agreement with Qatar to supply gas to Pakistan. Petroleum Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan said the agreement with Qatar had been under investigation by the National Accountability Bureau and other institutions.

Meanwhile, PM Khan is likely to visit Saudi Arabia again on October 22 in the hope of getting a multi-billion dollar package in addition to oil facility on deferred payment for a few years. Finance Minister Asad Umar, Prime Minister’s Advisor on Commerce, Textile, Industries and Production and Investment Abdul Razzaq Dawood, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhary will accompany the PM.
