Rs 1.75 billion approved under PMGF funds for development projects in Rawalpindi

Under the Prime Minister Global Funds (PMGF) amounting to Rs 1.75 billion have been approved for various development projects in Rawalpindi district for the fiscal year 2017-18.

For the each of the constituencies in of National Assembly in the Rawalpindi District Rs 250 million have been allocated for the initiation of new development programs.

The new projects comprising water supply schemes, electricity, construction of roads, streets, sewerage and drains etc are likely to be started in the next month of this year.

The District Administration has sought new schemes from PML-N’ MNAs, MPAs and ticket holders from all over the district. These funds will be released next month.

A sub organization of United Nation has provided these funds.

Meanwhile this is pertinent to mention that same amount of grants were provided for various development programs last year and among these uplift projects several have been completed and work on some is underway.
