Shahbaz asks help from Nisar for PM slot
In case of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has sought political support from Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Interior Minister to help make him Prime Minister.
Sources said CM Punjab has assented Nisar Ali Khan not to quit the politics and tender resignation from his ministry while he (Nisar) has been made assurance of next Chief Minister Punjab. Two factions in the ruling party PML-N have been unmasked for Premiership.
One faction led by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Safdar is insisting on appointing Shahid Khakan Abbasi, Khawaja Asif and Ahsan Iqbal as Prime Minister in case Nawaz Sharif was disqualified while the other group led by Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif has lured Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan to be made Chief Minister Punjab incase PM Nawaz Sharif was disqualified while the present CM Punjab will be enjoying the slot of PM, just the younger will be replacing the elder.
CM Punjab held two meetings with Interior Minister and restrained him to holding Press Conference, full of revelations. Anyhow, Interior Minister held short news conference. Sources said Interior Minister expressed the desire to be appointed Foreign Minister or CM Punjab in repay of his support. Shahbaz Sharif has also promised with Nisar Ali Khan regarding his appointment as Foreign Minister or CM Punjab.
It is worth to mention that during exile, Sharif brothers had promised Nisar Ali Khan to be made CM Punjab once their party was in rule. Nisar Ali Khan also contested general elections of 2013 with the symbol of “Cow” and won his seat but Shahbaz Sharif ignored Nisar Ali Khan and made himself CM Punjab.
Sources claim that Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Nisar Ali Khan and Hamza Shahbaz are lobbying for premiership while on the other side, Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Safdar, Irfan Siddiqui and Khawaja Asif are lobbying that Nawaz Sharif’s favorite person must be made PM. Today the Supreme Court will decide the fate of the PM and if PM Nawaz Sharif was disqualified there is also fear that most of MPs will change their loyalties.
