PM leaves for Turkey today for strategic cooperation meeting

Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif left for Turkey on Wednesday to attend the fifth session of the Pakistan-Turkey High Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC) to commence from February 22 to 24.
According to PM spokesman, Sharif met meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and co-chair the meeting of HLSCC to be held in Ankara on Thursday. He will also visit the Turkish parliament to reaffirm Pakistan’s unequivocal solidarity with the government and people of Turkey.
Several Agreements and MoUs are also expected to be signed on this occasion as this year also marks the 70th year of Pakistan-Turkey diplomatic relations.
A high-level delegation consisting of ministers and senior officials is accompanying the PM.
