PSL 2017: Gaddafi Stadium all set for play, tickets go on sale today

Gaddafi Stadium has been prepared with levelled cricket pitches and effective security measures for Pakistan Super League (PSL) second edition final scheduled on March 5 and the tickets will go on sale from today (Tuesday).

The boundary of the stadium was secured with barbed wires and CCTV cameras were also installed. Pitches for practice matches were prepared along with the one for the main match and the side screen was repainted.

Carpeting of roads around the stadium is also underway and security agencies will close all the three entrances of Nishtar Park Sports Complex from February 28. Restaurants and other shops of the area will also be shut down. The stadium will be regularly checked to ensure the implementation of effective security measures.

Meanwhile, the PSL Chairman announced on Monday the schedule of sale of tickets and their price range.

Per details, the tickets of Imran Khan, Fazal Mahmood, Waqar Younis and Wasim Akram enclosures are worth Rs12,000 being the most expensive of all. Tickets of Javed Miandad, Abdul Hafeez Kardar and Raja enclosures will cost Rs8000. The remaining enclosures’ tickets have been priced at Rs4,000 while those in general stand will be able to watch the play for Rs500 only.

The tickets will be available on-line in first phase after which booths will be set to provide tickets on ground.
