Women knife attacks in Karachi spread fear: After knife attacks on two more women at the Gulistan e Jauhar locality of the metropolis, fear and panic sparked among the residents of the area. The latest victim of the knife attack on woman became a 16 year old teenager. The teenager was the eighth victim of the knife attack on women. She had been shifted to a private hospital for medical treatment.
Earlier a 28 year woman had been attacked in the afternoon, the woman had said that a man riding on a motorcycle had attacked her with a sharp instrument from behind, she said that the man had been wearing a helmet.
Women are the main targets in the mysterious attacks. These attacks have been reported near Rabia City and Jauhar Chowrangi area of the Gulistan e Jauhar in the last three days.
According to one victim, who had been victimize on September the 26th said that an unidentified man who had been riding a motorcycle while wearing a black helmet had attacked her from behind.
The attack resulted in her leg severely being injured, afterwards she took a rickshaw to reach her house. Afterwards the mother of the victim took her to the hospital while her father had informed the police.
Afterwards when the police reached the victims house, they had arrested the girls father and blamed him for the incident. The father of the victim Abdul Rashid said that he had been detained overnight and made claim that the police had asked for a bribe.
Another survivor, a student of seventh grade, informed police that she was attacked from behind near Rabia City in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. The girl said she was unable to identify the attacker as he had covered his face with a helmet.
“I went outside to buy something when I was attacked by the assailants on a motorcycle,” she said, adding that at least one of the attackers was wearing a black shirt.
